For five generations, my family has worked the fields on the farm where I grew up. Having grown up with the expectation of one day taking over the farm, my decision to leave the land became the starting point for this ongoing project.

Through photography and material experimentation, I explore grass as both an image and a physical material, examining its textures, structures, and traces of agricultural labour. The work includes close-up and abstract photographs, handmade paper made from grass collected on the farm, and photographic studies of soil installations.

Moving between personal history and a broader consideration of agricultural practices, the project explores how human relationships with the land shape both the landscape and the materials it produces.

The project is still ongoing.
